Okay so here is a little sample of what I did. This was a wedding of Jill's sister Becca. I had a hard time posing do to interference and camera time with Jill's aunt. So to say the least this is the best ones where John and Becca are both looking at me. So let me know. If you want more information on aperture speed and such let me know I can get it.

I am proud of this picture I don't know why I really like it.

I LOVE that last picture Markie. I think it is the lighting that makes it so cool looking.
I'm right there with Debbie. The lighting is just awesome in that last picture! Good job!
I think we need to post some technical info on a few of the pictures we post. I would like to know what you shot your photos at Mark. That could help me give suggestions.
Okay, I went back and really looked at the pictures. Like I was saying before though, I would like to know what you were shooting at. Do you shoot in "M", "A", "S", "P" or auto? Your lens does make a difference, but you can still get a decent blurred background without it. It would be good to know what aperture you were shooting at.
First, I just want to say that these are good picture. You are not doing a bad job at all. Your inlaws look good and are framed in a good way. You, Debbie, and Brad all seem to want to put your subjects in the middle of the picture though. That is a very common thing to do at first...or until you are told to do otherwise. :) I also don't see a lot of DOF in the photos.
You are also welcome to send me the NEF version of those files. Do you shoot in RAW or jpeg? The NEF file will tell me all that stuff I want to know. I would like to show you a couple of things as well. I am going to send you an email about DOF that I sent to Debbie a while back.
Okay that was a lot ERIN. I was looking at the thirds stuff and find that very helpful. I will try again soon. Most of my pictures are done in a manual mode of some kind. You told me not to use auto ( although I use it sometimes to get some settings or an idea of what setting should be.) I think I was shooting in the mode that you can adjust both aperture and ISO speed. I like it the best.
